Edward L. Dandridge

Edward L. Dandridge is President & CEO of the National Association of Investment Companies ("NAIC"), an industry association representing diverse private equity firms and emerging fund managers. Founded in 1971, NAIC advocates on behalf of its Members for greater access to institutional capital and best practices within the private equity industry. NAIC Members have transformed more than 20,000 companies, many creating economic growth and jobs in the $6T U.S. market of minority consumers which is the one of fastest growing segments of our economy and will become the majority segment by 2050.

From 2008-2011, Ed served as Chief Communications Officer for Nielsen (NYSE:NLSN), a leading global information services company with operations in more than 100 markets. A member of Nielsen's Executive Council, Ed was responsible for corporate communications, consumer insights and issues management. Nielsen went public on January 25, 2011 after being privately owned by a consortium of large private equity firms including KKR, Blackstone, Carlyle Group, Hellman & Friedman and Thomas H. Lee & Partners.

Prior to Nielsen, Ed was Managing Partner of BrandSphere, an international business consulting and strategic planning firm where he advised corporations, start-ups, private equity firms and non-profit clients. Previously, Ed was a Vice President at ABC Television Network, where he was the network's senior public affairs executive, and spent seven years at Sawyer/Miller Group, an international consulting firm where he managed issue campaigns for trade associations, governments and Fortune 500s. An attorney admitted to practice law, Ed began his career in private practice in New York City.

Ed is Co-Chair of the Museum for African Art and serves on the Board of Directors of the Council of Urban Professionals ("CUP") and the Westchester Clubmen Foundation.

Ed earned his undergraduate degree from Tufts University, with honors, and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
